Multi-Factor Authentication in maestro*CLOUD

Objective

To offer users better security, prevent the loss and theft of data, as well as limit the risks of identity theft, Maestro Technologies strongly recommends the use of multi-factor authentication (MFA) to connect to maestro*CLOUD.

Multi-factor authentication, also known as MFA, is a strong authentication method in which a user can access a tech resource after presenting two (or more) different pieces of identification to an authentication mechanism.

Prerequisites

Download and install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device:

  • For Apple devices, go through the App Store.
  • For Android devices, go through the Play Store.

Steps

Set Up the Multi-Factor Authentication

  1. Log in as you normally do to the iGOCloud portal.
  2. In the upper right corner of the iGOCloud interface, click on your username.
  3. Choose the My Profile option.
  4. Select the Edit the Profile option.
  5. Click on the Security tab.
  6. Check the Use Google Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) option.
  7. A QR code will appear on the screen: use the device's camera to scan the QR code and finish the set up using Google Authenticator.
  8. Click on Save.
  9. When you log in to the iGOCloud portal in the future, a validation code will now be required every time: open the Google Authenticator application to get the code.
